Selected for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition 2025, this piece by London-based, Australian artist Brooke Fitzsimons is characteristic of her luminous silhouette paintings. Drawing from printed images and photographs, Brooke begins with a tonal underpainting and builds up transparent oil glazes to create organic forms that celebrate the beauty of the physical world.
